Kogi To Host Summit on Security in Hotels, Resorts

Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board is to organise a Security Summit for Hotels and Resorts in a bid to strengthen security of hospitality business in the State.

Chairman of the Board, Prince Philip Orebiyi in a statement noted that measures have also been put in place to present Award of Excellence to the best Hotels with outstanding security architecture.

According to him, while the Summit is aimed at creating a platform for stakeholders to discuss security challenges and share best practices, it will also promote security awareness and responsibility among hotel owners, managers, and staff.

Prince Orebiyi noted that targets participants are Hotel owners, managers, and staff, security experts and consultants, government officials, and representatives from the Nigerian Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

“The Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board is pleased to announce the Security Summit and Award Programme, aimed at promoting security awareness and recognizing exceptional security standards in hotels and resorts across Kogi State.

He said the programme will be held at Glass House, Government House Lokoja, on tenth of March at eleven o’clock in the morning.

The Chairman added that the event will feature; Keynote Address, Panel Discussion, Presentations by Hotel as well as networking session.

“The Security Summit and Award Programme aims to promote a culture of security awareness and responsibility in the hospitality industry, while recognizing and rewarding best-performing hotels and resorts. We believe that this event will contribute to the growth and development of the tourism industry in Kogi State, leading to increased revenue for the state government.
