Kogi state Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has promised to provide free medical insurance Scheme to the widows of the fallen heroes in Kogi State
Governor Ododo made the promised at the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the World War one and two Cenotaph.
The Fallen Heroes are celebrated every January 15 in Nigeria and their families receive support from the Government, the Organized Private Sector and other good spirited individuals in the society.
Under the leadership of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo Kogi State, has remained committed to supporting families of the fallen heroes as the armed forces have greatly collaborated with the law enforcement agencies in the state to maintain peace and order.
The Governor while delivering his speech promised to provide free health insurance for the widows of the fallen heroes through the Kogi State Health insurance scheme to ease their sufferings as they pass through the challenges of live with their Children.
“On behalf of the People of Kogi State I pledge the our unwavering support commitment to our great Nation” Ododo said.
The governor also expressed his heart felt appreciation to the widows and families of the fallen heroes, whose women and their children carry on the legacies of the Men and Women who loss their live to ease the burdens of others.
Governor Ododo encouraged well to do individuals to always remember families and loved one of the departed heroes whose sacrifice has kept the state safe.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support to the welfare of the armed forces and the families of the fallen heroes.
High point of the event was the laying of wreath by the State Governor,Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Chief Judge of Kogi State among others.
