Kogi Information Commissioner Urges Staff, Its Agencies To Ensure Renewed Commitment In The New Year

Kogi State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo has called on Agencies under the Ministry to show renewed commitment to uplift the information sector.

Kingsley Fanwo gave the charge at a special meeting of management and heads of Agencies in his office in Lokoja.

He noted that the meeting was to reflect on the past year and chart a way forward in the new year, stressing that there is always reward for hard work and loyalty.

According to him, without their support, the Ministry could not have attained its present feat, urging them to always follow due process in all their official dealings

Fanwo assured that government will continue to give necessary attention to the Agencies, particularly the Radio and Graphics Newspaper and commended them for a good job.

He congratulated the management teams on the occasion of a new year, adding that his leadership will always remain open, transparent and accountable in line with the vision of the Governor whose desire is to witness a more prosperous Kogi State.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Ebenezer Adurodija highlighted the importance of commitment to duty, and thanked the Commissioner for being a team player.

Mr Adurodija said the meeting which was at the instance of the Commissioner was a demonstration of his open door policy aimed at moving the Ministry forward.

In their remarks, the Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Hajia Nana Hauwa Yussuf expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for his leadership role so far and appealed for the renovation of the office complex.

Also speaking, the Managing Director, Graphics Newspaper, Y.J.Itopa praised the Commissioner for all the positive roles, saying that with the steps being taken by the Commissioner, the information gap between the government and the people will be bridged.
