Ozovehe Tasks Newly Inducted Medical, Dental Graduates On Professionalism

The immediate past Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Alh. Ojo Oyila Ozovehe has urged newly inducted Graduates of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria to uphold the standard and Ethics of the Medical Profession.

Alhaji Ojo Oyila made the statement during the induction ceremony of Foreign Trained Medical and Dental Graduates at The Auditorium of the Medical and Dental Council House, Abuja.

Ozoveh, who’s daughter Doctor Rufiat Ometere Ozovehe is among the new inductees give glory to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of the programme amidst numerous challenges.

He appreciated the efforts of Federal Ministry of Health, and Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria in making sure the foreign graduates are accorded all the necessary courtesies during the refreshers program.

The Celebrant, Doctor Rufiat Ometere Ozovehe while thanking God for making the programme possible also appreciated her parent’s relentless support and prayers during the course of her studies, promised to passionately contribute her own quota whenever duty calls.

Also the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria Dr. Fatima Kyari after administering physicians pledge to the new practitioners, charged the inductees to stay committed to duty.

“in her words As you step into your new roles I urge you to be mindful of the significant impact your job is going to create to the society.”

Dr. Kyari said the world of health care is evolving with emerging technologies, stressing that the inductees must brace up to face the challenges and opportunities these developments will present.

Highlight of the programme was the launch of Journal of Medical Standards and Ethics.
