The Assistant Director One in Kogi State Ministry of Special Duties And Inter Governmental Affairs Mrs. Abutu Christy has urged trainees at ongoing Ododo Youth Empowerment and Skill Acquisition Programme (OYESAP) have been urged not to twart the effort of the state government on them.
Mrs. Abutu stated this when she led members of Monitoring and Evaluation Team from the State Ministry of Special Duties And Inter Governmental Affairs to the institute for orientation of the OYESAP trainees.
She noted that Kogi State Government in a bid to take youths out of social vices and live a meaningful life came up with this initiative to train and empower them with a
starter pack to start their own businesses.
Mrs. Abutu urged them to stay focused, proactive, and committed to their goals, adapt to new trends and technologies for a better future for them, their loved ones and society at large.
The Registrar Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute Lokoja Mr Sunday Ayanbe applauded Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo for giving Kogi youths the opportunity to a brighter future through various skills acquisitions.
Mr Ayanbe who explained that they will undergo intensive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in Various chosen field said it was a networking opportunities with peers and industry professionals urged the trainees to utilize it to their benefit and those around them.
Deputy Rector of the Institute Mathew Alhasan said the skills Acquisition Scholarship Program was designed to equip students with practical skills in various fields, stressing that trainees must l Participate actively in class and meet the program’s academic and behavioral standards to be certified.
Also speaking the Librarian of the institute Mr. Adebisi Michael said that regular assessments and evaluations of the students on their progress would not be taken for granted and urged them to rededicate their time to learn.
The class representative of automobile Mallam Abubakar Gimba appreciated Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo for giving them the opportunity to a meaningful life.
