KGSG Enjoins Youths To Embrace Vocational Skill Acquisition to Break Cycle of Poverty

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been praised for engaging two hundred and fifty youths in various Vocational skill acquisitions.

The Director Administration of Kogi State Ministry of Special Duties And Inter Governmental Affairs Mrs. Mariam Umar-Salisu stated this when she led the Monitoring and Evaluation Team from the ministry to venue of the training Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute in Lokoja

Mrs Umar said to produce a highly skilled and educated workforce while breaking the cycle of poverty Kogi State governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo embarked on the scheme to train Two hundred and fifty youths in different Vocation of their choices.

The Director appreciated Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo for promoting democratic governance, peaceful coexistence and building a reliable database for the education sector urging him to sustain the Ododo Youth Empowerment & Skill Acquisition Programme (OYESAP) in the state.

Mrs Umar also appreciated the Commissioner of the Ministry Mr Sunday Faleke and the Permanent Secretary Doctor Ejigbo Akoji for their efforts at bettering the lives of Kogi youths.

She advised the trainees not to twart the effort of Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo to make them self reliant with a meaningful future.

Some of the trainees Edebe James from Olamaboro and Olugbemi Joseph from Kaba Bunu local government Areas said the initiative was first of it kind, appreciated the gesture and prayed God continue to bless Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo for giving them the opportunity to be trained and empowered.

Deputy Director Administration Mrs Akande Grace Bosede, Agamah Joseph and Olusegun Temitope were among members of the Monitoring and Evaluation Team from the office of the commissioner of Special Duties And Inter Governmental Affairs.
