The All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State Elective Congresses scheduled for today will proceed as planned.
Decision to this effect was announced by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
He said the Rivers State High Court has ruled that there is no order preventing the APC from organizing the Rivers State Elective Congress.
“In light of this development, the APC will proceed with the Congress, reaffirming its commitment to due process and the rule of law”, he stated.
Argungu in a statement on Friday said the ex-parte order in Suit No: PHC/2699/CS/2024 between Peter Ohochukwu & Anor vs. His Excellency, Abdullahi Ganduje & 5 Ors, which initially restrained the APC from conducting the congress, has been vacated.
