The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has released the detailed declaration of results for the just concluded Local Government Council Elections.
A statement by the Chairman of the Commission, Mamman Nda Eri noted that the election represents a vital part of a democratic process, empowering the Local Governments to function efficiently with leaders chosen by the people to represent their voices at the grassroots level.
He appreciated the participation of stakeholders including voters, candidates, electoral officials, the media and Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) for ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.
The election which was won by the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state took place on the 19th of this month.
