2025 Ramadan: Gov. Ododo’s Aide Breaks Fast With Journalist In Kogi

The Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Ismail Isah has hosted journalist in Kogi State to the breaking of Ramadan fast.

The special breaking of fast which held at the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Secretariat in Lokoja, attracted both Muslim and Christian Journalists in the State.

Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah described the program as a reflection of the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad in the holy Month of Ramadan.

The Special Adviser who said Journalist are critical stakeholders in the development of any society, noted that the event once again demonstrates love and unity of members of the Union.

According to him, the special event is also an opportunity to present the compilation of Media Report of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo from January 2024 to January 2025 to members of the Union.

“What we are here for is to break our fast but somehow in the course of the week we have been interacting with some of our stakeholders in the State and sharing them with them documentation of our media report in the last one year, so we feel that as a mark of honour we should also use this opportunity to present this to the Chairman of NUJ who represents most significant stakeholders in terms of our media business”.

“So it is on this note I crave your indulgence to kindly permit me to formally present this compilation of our media report from January 2024 to January 2025 to Chairman of the NUJ on behalf of all of us on the media team of His Excellency the Governor of the State”.

Ismail commended the NUJ for their support to the present administration in the State, urging them to continue to uphold the ethics of the profession.

The Chairman, Kogi State Council of the (NUJ), Alhaji Ademu Seidu who expressed satisfaction with the turnout of members at the event, commended the Special Adviser for hosting members of the Union to the break of fast.

“The relationship you’re building with us, God will continue to reward you, you don’t hesistate to approach us whenever you have anything, you are always with us and we in return don’t waist time to call you over certain issues”.

Also speaking, the Vice President, Zone D of NUJ, Comrade Adeiza Momoh-jimoh appreciated the Special Adviser for identifying with Journalist in the State and assured him of the support of members of the Union for him to succeed.

While noting that to whom much is given, much is expected, Comrade Adeiza urged members of the Union to continue rally round the Special Adviser to succeed in his office.

Also speaking, a former Chairman of the NUJ in Kogi State, Comrade Ali Atabor commended Ismail Isah for always doing the uncommon.

“I’m not surprised with what you are doing, when I was Chairman of NUJ in my first term, you were S.A to the Commissioner for Information then and I knew what the Commissioner that you served as S.A then was doing for the NUJ so when you were given this appointment as SA on Media to the Governor I just went and relax because I knew the kind of person that was coming so I want to thank you very much, we are so happy”.

Highlight of the program was the presentation of an Annual Media Report of the Governor from January 2024 to January 2025 to the NUJ Chairman by the Special Adviser.
