In the spirit of giving to mark the Christmas celebration, The Senator representing Kogi East, Senator Isah Jibrin-Echocho, has distributed bags of rice and other items to the people of Kogi East to celebrate the season.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mikail Ibrahim said the distribution took place across the Nine local Govts in his constituents.
Represented by his Legislative Aide, Ibrahim Ahmadu, while distributing the items, the Lawmaker said, the gesture is to support his constituents, particularly the less privileged, to celebrate with ease.
Jibrin-Echocho said Christmas is a season of love, peace, merriment, and almsgiving, particularly the less-fortuned among us.
“In his words , we are distributing rice to various local government across the nine local governments in Kogi East senatorial district. This may not be enough, but with this little, we believe it will go a long way in supporting some families to celebrate Christmas appropriately,’’ he stressed.
He said that the packages are not just for party faithful, but for his people of Kogi East, as it can possibly reach, Echocho clarified.
He called on the people to use the period to pray for economical growth and development of the district, the state, and Nigeria at large.
