Wife Of Chief of Staff To Kogi Gov,  Mrs Aisha Bello Distributes Palliatives To Seven Hundred Women And Widows In Okene

In a landmark move aimed at improving the most vulnerable members of society, the wife to the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State,Mrs Aisha Bello has distributed cash, rappers and food items to about seven hundred women and Widows in her community in Okene.

This is not the first time the Chief of Staff wife will empowered women in her community and beyond to better their lives.

Speaking to the women who gathered in their hundreds at her residence in Okene, Mrs Aisha Bello emphasized the importance of economic independence for women, particularly widows who often face social and financial challenges after the loss of their spouses.

According to her the Eid-el Kabir festival is another opportunity for her to reach out to her women and the downtroden and advised the women not to stay idol.

“Many of our mothers, sisters, and daughters suffer in silence. This is my own little way of complimenting the good work of the state governor Alhaji Usman Ododo” Mrs Bello stated.

Mrs Aisha called on corporate organizations, international donors, and civil society groups to partner with the state Government to reach out to the less privilege in the society.

She reaffirms her commitment to gender equality, economic empowerment, and inclusive national development stressing  that the voices and contributions of women and widows matter.

One of the beneficiaries, Hanatu Musa a 42-year-old widow and mother of three, expressed her gratitude, saying, “This is the first time I feel truly seen. With the cash I can now expand my cassava processing business and take better care of my children”.
