Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission has been called upon to sustain prayers for the development of the State.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo made the call when management of the commission visited him in Lokoja.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Commended officials of the Commission for their commitments at improving welfare of Christians Pilgrimage to the holy land.
According to him, Christian Pilgrimage is a place of spiritual exercise where Christians get first hand knowledge of the New and old testament.
Governor Ododo reassured of
Continuous support to responsible religious activities in the state stressing that his doors are open for all spiritual engagement.
The Governor promised to do more for the commission and called on members of the commission to sustain prayers for him and his Deputy to deliver on the trust given them by the people of the state.
Earlier the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Çhief Ayo Christopher Olubunmi said the visit was in appreciation of gesture to the commission and intimate him of pending Pilgrimage in October.
He appealed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to assist in sponsoring more Christians to the holy land because of its benefits and described the Governor as a number one Christian in the state.
The Secretary of the Commission, Doctor Simeon Onakpa said the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission will be visiting the state soon.
