The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. 𝙰𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚘𝚓𝚘 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢 Anyebe, has attributed the growing wave of defections into the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the visible gains of good governance and inclusive leadership under the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Hon. Anyebe made this known during a decamping ceremony held at his Ward in Olamaboro Local Government Area, where a large number of members from various political parties formally joined the APC. Prominent among the new entrants is the State Organising Secretary of the Labour Party, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Amana Ellah, alongside other party stalwarts and supporters.

According to the Commissioner, the decision of many political actors and grassroots supporters to align with the APC is a clear indication that the people of Kogi State have come to appreciate the true meaning of governance and democracy as practiced by the APC-led government.

“This movement is not about pressure or political intimidation. It is about conviction,”
“The people have seen what purposeful leadership looks like.
They have experienced governance that is people-centred, transparent, and inclusive, and they are responding accordingly.”Hon. Anyebe stated.

He emphasized that the Ododo administration is built on the principle that governance must be for the people and by the people, noting that inclusiveness remains a core value of the APC in Kogi State. He stressed that under the current leadership, all citizens, irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion, or gender are given a sense of belonging and equal opportunity to contribute to the development of the state.

Hon. 𝙰𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚘𝚓𝚘 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢 Anyebe further described the large turnout of party faithful and decampees at the event as a strong signal of unity, renewed hope, and growing confidence in the APC’s vision for Kogi State.

While welcoming the new members into the APC family, the Commissioner assured them of equal recognition and opportunities within the party structure.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to continue mobilizing young people and stakeholders in support of policies and programmes that promote peace, development, and social inclusion.

𝙷𝚘𝚗. 𝙰𝚗𝚢𝚎𝚋𝚎 concluded by calling on all party members to remain steadfast and united in supporting the Ododo-led administration, noting that collective effort and shared responsibility are essential to building a stronger, more prosperous, and united Kogi Stat𝚎.
