Step Up Your Coverage Of Kogi MDAs, Fanwo Urges Information Officers

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has tasked the state’s Information Officers in the Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on reinforcing their professionalism.

Fanwo made the call at a meeting with the state’s information officers and the management staff of the ministry in his office on Friday.

The meeting served as Commissioner Fanwo’s first official engagement since returning to office, highlighting the need for collaboration and increased productivity to achieve the desired outcomes.

During the meeting,Fanwo urged the officers to take the initiative in breaking news and providing regular updates on the activities of the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

He said the present administration has put all plans in place to make sure he delivers on the promises made to the people.

Fanwo called on the people of Kogi State to cooperate with the present administration so that he would be able to deliver.

He stressed the importance of the officers making themselves valuable assets within their respective MDAs and avoiding complacency.

The Commissioner,however issued a call to action for the information officers to step up their game and play a crucial role in rejuvenating the State’s website.

He expressed his gratitude to the information officers for their hard work during the previous administration and encouraged them to continue their efforts.

The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Isaiah Adegbola and the Director of Information Services, Mr, Sunday Adeniyi reenforced the need for officers to prioritize professionalism and punctuality.

Also, the Director of Digital and Printing Services, Ebenezer Adurodija advocated for comprehensive trainings to improve on their performances and ensure effective information dissemination.
