One of the cardinal responsibilities of the government is the provision of adequate security and the welfare of the people.
In kogi state, the issue of security of lives and property is a top priority of the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who is leaving no stone unturned to provide adequate and water tight security for the citizens.
The security conscious and indefatigable governor had been proactive in tackling the issue of insecurity frontally and decisively.
It is very clear that the governor has zero tolerance for criminal elements In the state.
Since his inauguration on 27th January,2024, the governor has been giving criminal elements a bloody nose and forced them to relocate from the state.
To this end, some pockets of criminal elements who dares to open cells in the state have been arrested and made to face the music in the court.
Recall that recently those criminals who are behind the senseless killing of people in a community in Omala local government area,were promptly arrested by the police force, in conjunction with other security personnel in the state.
In a similar situation, about 43 travellers who were kidnapped in a neighbouring state and brought to Kogi state, were successfully rescued by the gallant officers of the security agencies in Kogi State.
In a related development, all those people who were recently kidnapped on their way to Lokoja from Kabba, for a Church program were all successfully rescued from their abductors.
From the forgoing, the State governor had repeatedly warned the criminal elements to relocate from the state as there is no hiding place for their heinous crimes.
The governor has been able to put a lie to the claim by opposition political leaders who accused him of not doing anything about the spate of criminal activities by men of the underworld in the state.
Indeed, they are just noise makers and those who are not sufficiently aware of the situation on ground.
It is a pity that they are just playing to the gallery to weep up sentiments by playing dirty politics with the lives of the people.
The truth about the situation of insecurity is that the governor is on top of the worrisome situation.
It is save to aver that the residents of Kogi State and other road users should feel free to go about their legitimate businesses because Kogi state is significantly safe.
Residents of Kogi state should continue to sleep with their two eyes closed.
Don’t listen to naysayers and busy body desperate politicians who would do anything to score cheap political points.
Kogi state is very safe and secured.
