Special Adviser on Community Integration and Harmonization to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Alhaji Haruna Muhammad Ganaja has described the Governor’s victory at the Supreme Court as a victory for democracy.
Alhaji Haruna stated this while reacting to the victory of Governor Ododo over Supreme Court affirmation as duly elected Governor of Kogi State.
The Special Adviser said the judgment by the Apex has again proven the judiciary to be an impartial umpire.
According to him, the judgment has finally brought to an end the legal battle arising from the November 2023 Governorship election, saying it will afford the Governor the privilege to settle down and concentrate on governance without further distraction.
Alhaji Haruna called on parties involved in the legal tussle to join the Governor in his quest to execute policies in all sectors of the state economy noting that the affirmation of his mandate by the Supreme Court will further strengthen his administration to do more for the people of the state. He expressed belief that the Governor would not be deterred by any
challenge as the interest of ordinary citizens of the state is his priority. Alhaji Haruna prayed God to continue to protect and give Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo the wisdom to develop Kogi to enviable heights.
