Revenue Generation: DG Kogi State Utility And Infrastructure Management And Compliance Agency Promises To Complement Efforts Of KGIRS

The Director General of Kogi State Utility and Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency, Alhaji Taufiq Isah says the agency is poised to generate revenue for the State.

Alhaji Taufiq gave the assurance at the maiden meeting of the management of the agency in Lokoja.

He said it is part of the agency’s functions to continue to encourage Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as companies on how best to operate.

Alhaji Taufiq who promised to make the agency functional to achieve its objective said the people needed to know more about the functions of the agency.

” Parts of our functions include generation of revenue for the State, ensuring that standards are met in every infrastructure provided in Kogi State, promoting how best to use the infrastructure, reporting to relevant agencies on breakdown of such utilities among others”

” I know that the activities of this agency was not known by the public, but as you can see we are ready to swing into action and make the agency to do it’s work and generate more revenue to the State” Taufiq said.

He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for finding him fit to be the Director General of the agency and promised to live up to expectation.

Similarly, the Permanent Member one of the agency, Mr. Paul Agada and Permanent Member two Mr. Emmanuel Bebeyi in their remarks promised to support the Director General in his effort to position the agency for optimum performance.

In his remark, the Permanent Member of the agency representing Kogi Central,Hon. Suleiman Onimisi Abdulazeez also  promised to support the Director General, Alhaji Taufiq Isah to succeed emphasizing that time has come for Kogi State Utility and Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency to work.

In another development, a former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Right Hon. Abdulrahaman Dangana has urged the management of the Kogi State Utility and Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency to do everything within its power to promoting the proper installation of utilities in Kogi State.

Right Honourable Dangana gave the advice during a courtesy visit on the Director General of the agency, Alhaji Taufiq Isah at  his office in Lokoja.

He emphasised the need to ensuring compliance in provision of infrastructure to ensure it’s durability and serve the people better.
