Kogi State Chapter of Association of Retired Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries has urged Managers of the State Civil Service To sustain merit and world best practices.
Chairman of the Association, Chief James Mesole made the appeal in an interview during this year’s end of the year get-together for members in Lokoja.
The annual end of the year get-together for Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in Kogi State Civil Service was a time for reunion as well as to wine and dine for members.
The Chairman of the Association, Chief James Mesole used the occasion to appeal to Civil Servants to put in their best in the discharge of their official responsibility.
Chief Mesole who urged managers of the State Civil Service to sustain merit and world best practices also enjoined the State government to address issues of payment of gratuity to retirees.
He expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity for members to celebrate another end of the year, urging them to take care of their health.
The immediate past State Head of Service, Elder Hannah Odiyo praised the leadership of the Association for organising the annual programme and advised workers to use their service year to add value to the State.
