The Five Hundred Housing Estate in Ganaja, Lokoja has elected Engineer Olugbenga Friday Elijah as Chairman of the estate.
In a keenly contested election of the estate on Saturday, Engineer Olugbenga Friday Elijah defeated his closest rival by polling one hundred and seventeen votes.
Announcing the results of the election, the chairman of the Election Committee, Barrister Olorunfemi Oladele and Secretary, Barrister Odoma Uwodi noted that Idris Isiaka Alfa was also elected Secretary of the estate after beating his rival with one hundred and twenty votes.
Other positions were returned unopposed with Gloria Akudi Ndega as Vice Chairman, Ichado Muhammed Echu- Assistant Secretary and Barakatu Yahaya- Treasurer.
The rest are Olujinmi Olakunle – Publicity Secretary, Rakiya Amira Juniadu– Financial Secretary, Idris Salami – Auditor
and Inikpi Adejoh Momoh -Welfare Officer.
In a post election remark, the chairman of the estate, Engineer Olugbenga Friday Elijah promised to fulfill his campaign promises and leave the estate better than he met it.
