Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has called on the people of Ijumu Local Government Area to reject promoters of sectional Agenda.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo stated this in a message during the celebration of Ekinrin ADDE, Day celebration at Ekinrin ADDE Day in Ijumu Local Government Area.
The Governor represented by his Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu said sectional politics will reduce collective development efforts of the state noting that what the state needs now is broaden ideas and collective views of the people.
The Governor Commended the people of Ijumu Local Government Area for voting enmasse for Kogi Agenda stressing that his priorities in Government is to put smiles on the faces of the citizens of the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, thanked the people of the Area, especially Ekinrin ADDE Community for supporting their emergency as Governor and Deputy Governor of Kogi State stressing that the gesture will not be taken for granted.
He explained that Ekinrin Adde Day is not only to showcase the cultural heritage and value of the people and called on son’s and daughters of the area to use the annual celebration to strengthen unity of purpose for the development of the area.
Governor Ododo called on members of the All Progressive Congress to bring new people into the party noting that the party structure is wide to accommodate everybody.
The Kogi State Governor said his administration decided to make payment of salaries a priority because of the importance of civil servants in the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo described a stakeholder from the Area Chief James Faleke as a mentor noting that his contribution to the progress of the state is exemplary.
Also speaking A Stake holder from the Area Chief James Faleke Commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for attending the Annual Ekinrin ADDE Day celebration and pledged the support of the people of the Area to his Administration.
According to him Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is actually replicating the renewed hope agenda of President Ahmed Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration in Kogi State and called on the people of the state to join hand with him to transform the state.
The Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Deputy Chief of staff Hillary Ojomah among dignitaries who attended the ceremony.
