The CMD Reference Hospital, Okene, Professor Solomon Avidime says the establishment of the institution is aimed at providing improved healthcare service to the people of Kogi state and Nigeria in general.
Prof Avidime made the remark when the Management of an online Television Station paid him a visit in his Office in Okene.
He said the State Government under the immediate past administration of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello built and equipped the hospital with world class medical facilities to enable it offer qualitative healthcare services to the people with the aim of meeting their health needs.
According to him, the health Institution could also provide medical services to people within and outside the country thereby reducing the rate of medical tourism and improving the internally generated revenue of the State.
While urging the people to seek medical attention early whenever they notice symptoms, the CMD maintained that the Hospital has qualified and committed personnel who are working hard to attend to their well being.
Professor Avidime praised the Chief Executive Officer of the Online TV Station, Avoyi Nwogu, for her efforts and commitment to informing and educating the Public through factual news stories and promised to partner with the Media outfit for mutual benefit.
Earlier, the CEO of BAVON Communications Limited – Proprietors of MLC TV and Sharon Radio, Avoyi Nwogu, said the visit was aimed at congratulating Professor Avidime on his appointment as CMD of the Reference Hospital and to also seek collaboration with the Health Centre.
Avoyi explained that the people of the state deserve to know more about the services of the Hospital, which is one of the legacy projects of Former Governor Yahaya Bello, pointing out that the Media Organisation will do her best to give wider publicity to the Health Facility.
According to her, MLC TV is committed to training and retraining of youths in the broadcast industry, and expressed satisfaction with the progress of those already trained, promising her commitment to doing more in the days ahead.
