Government at all levels have been called upon to provide basic amenities for the people of Bassa Local Government Area.
The Etsu Bassa Nge, Retired Brigadier Abu Ali made the call when the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Tijjani, paid him a visit in his palace at Gboloko.
Addressing stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the area, retired Brigadier General Abu Ali said he will support the Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Usman Ododo alongside his people.
He stated that the people were delighted at the upgrading of traditional rulers in his district and other parts of the area.
While describing Governor Yahaya Bello as a friend of the Bassa people, the traditional ruler called on for the provision of additional basic amenities for people of the Area.
He thanked the delegation of the state government for the visit and promised to sustain peace in his domain.
Earlier, Director-General Campaign for the Governorship candidate, Alhaji Nda Muhammad, said the current situation in the Area will be given serious attention and expressed confidence in the ability of the APC Governorship candidate to provide infrastructure and human capital development.
Alhaji Nda assured that he will partner with the Bassa Local Government Council Chairman and critical stakeholders to work for the success of the APC in the forthcoming Governorship Election.
On his part, the Council Chairman, Alhaji Mutari Shaibu commended the people of Bassa land for remaining solidly behind the APC Governorship candidate.
In her remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Tijjani called on women in the area turn out massively to vote for Alhaji Usman Ododo as the Governor of the State and praised the Etsu and APC stakeholders in the area for the reception accorded them.
Hajia Habibat said the next Administration will favour women as more will be given positions of authority noting the large number of women and Youths in the state.
In their separate speeches, Chairman local Government Service Commission Adams Adabenege, Treasurer of the council, Mr Steven Tukura, the special adviser to the Governor on Emergency, Alhaji Muhammed Baba and a stakeholder in the Area, Mr Bako Shigaba all said Alhaji Usman Ododo is the candidate of the people as they are prepared to vote massively for him.
The team paid similar visit to Oguma, headquarters of Bassa Local Government Area with a pledge to deliver for the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Steel Development, Mr James Kaura, Special Adviser on Basic Amenities, Theophilus Daruwana Adama, Alhaji Hassan Adekeke on primary health care, former Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Paul Maiwada were all in attendance.
