The outgoing Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Alh. Ojo Oyila Ozovehe has advised staff of the Corporation to ensure professionalism and quality best broadcast service to the people.
Alhaji Ojo Oyila have the advice during a farewell visit to different departments of the Corporation at the headquarters in Lokoja.
As part of the transition of the outgoing Director General to the new one, Alhaji Ojo-Oyila Ozovehe visited the various departments at the headquarters of the corporation on a farewell visit.
At the News and Current Affairs Department, the outgoing Director General, who was accompanied by the new DG, Hajia Hauwa Nana Yussuf stressed the need for professionalism, teamwork and journalistic excellence.
Alhaji Ojo Oyila, who thanked staff of the department for their tenacity and doggedness, enjoined them to continue to hold those in power accountable.
At the Commercials Department, the outgoing Director General said the contribution of staff of the Department has ensured the current revenue drive of the Station.
He told them that his successor is a trusted and hardworking woman, who has all it takes to continue from where he has stopped.
Speaking at the Programmes Department, Alhaji Ojo Oyila charged them to continue to push for excellence and introduce innovation in their programmes.
He thanked them for the support given him, urging the Staff to extend same to the new Director General.
While receiving Staff of Engineering Department in his office, the former Director General applauded them for contributing to his success story, urging them to explore innovation that will improve broadcasting in the State.
Also, at the Accounts and Finance as well as Administrative Departments, Alhaji Ojo-Oyila said he will continue to be grateful for their support during his stay in office.
Also Speaking, the new DG, Hajia Nana Hauwa Yussuf, congratulated the outgoing Director General for his successful retirement, saying equity, fairness and justice will be her watch word.
She expressed her readiness to operate an open door policy and solicited the support and corporation of the Staff and other management staff.
In their respective remarks, the Directors of News and Current Affairs, Pastor Gowon Edibo, Programmes, Comrade Habibat Umar-Ibrahim, Engineering Services, Engineer Sunday Otajele, Accounts and Finance, Pastor Dan Awodi, Administration and Supply, Mr. Oluwatoyin Jacob and acting Director of Commercial Services, Baba Labaran Aminu offered prayers for the outgoing Director General and the new one and assured of their total support.
