Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin has congratulated Alhaji Usman Ododo and Senator Hope Uzodinma on their victory at the just concluded elections in Imo and Kogi states respectively.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Uzodinma and Ododo, the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winners of the governorship elections conducted in Imo and Kogi states on Saturday.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, described the victories of Ododo and Uzodinma as the expression of the confidence of the people of the two states in the programmes and policies of the APC.
The victory, he said would enable Ododo continue the pro-people programmes of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State and enable Governor Uzodinma consolidate on his developmental projects in Imo State.
“The victory is also a result of the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of our great party, Dr. Addullahi Umar Ganduje, which has made our party more cohesive,” he said.
