A female aspirant of the forthcoming Ondo States Governorship election, Funmilayi Adekojo, has assured that she would take the state to the next level as she would make good governance her focus if she emerges the next Governor of the state.
Adekojo gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen, shortly after picking her expression of interest and nomination forms, on Wednesdays at the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja
She noted that she is out to prove to the world that women can do it better if given the opportunity, adding that she wants to move the society forward by showcasing the quality of women as the mother of the nation.
According to her, “women are the solution.and her ambition was instigated by service to humanity and his state.
“I’m not here to represent myself, but to represent the women in the world, especially Africa, to showcase what we can do, this is the era that women have to come on board to put a lot of things right”.
“I want to serve the people of Ondo State by giving my best, as an engineer, I will make engineers and the state proud, my focus will be education, youth employment, and utilising the state’s blue sea”.
“to those at the grassroots, and I know what they need and will work towards meeting their needs”.
“With my hard earned money, I have single handedly raised 15,000 women and youths in Akoko and Ondo State generally on skills acquisition and entrepreneurship.
“You are not a politician by just practicing politics, but by positively impacting on the lives of the people, that I had done, even as a private person,” she said.
Adekojo who expressed optimism that she would emerge as the best candidate at it primaries because of all the support of women in the state.
She appreciated President Bola Tinubu for given women voice in Nigeria to be heard.
