Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Africa Youth Growth Foundation, AYGF, Doctor Arome Salifu has called for collective efforts in the development of communities.
Dr Arome Salifu made the call on Thursday at the twenty twenty-four Ojogba Day celebration in Dekina Local Government Area.
Dr Arome Salifu who was the Chairman at the occasion, emphasized the need for peace and tranquility, noting that there can be no development without unity and peace.
The Executive Director who hails from the community said no community can develope without unity of purpose and appealed for sustained efforts.
He assured of his continued commitment to the growth of the area, urging other sons and daughters of the community to do more to advance the community as it is a collective responsibility.
“Let me stress at this point that we have come a long way and it is not easy, as a community, Ojogba will continue to witness transformation, and this requires collective efforts on the path of all of us, both at home and in diaspora”, Dr Arome averred.
In his speech, the Ejeh Dekina and Chairman, Dekina Local Government Area traditional council, Alhaji Usman Obaje commended the community for sustaining the Ojogba Day, saying it demonstrates the spirit of togetherness.
The Ejeh of Dekina assured that his leadership of the traditional institution in the local government will encourage ideas that are aimed at promoting growth and development.
In his welcome address, Chairman of Dekina Local Government, Mr John Urah Ikani said he was proud of Ojogba community for standing firm in all development processes.
John Urah Ikani expressed appreciation to the people for supporting his election, assuring that he will do all within his reach to ensure rapid development of Ojogba and the local government at large.
Traditional rulers, state lawmakers and federal legislators, members of the political class, business men and various groups attended the Ojogba Day which witnessed culture display.
