Ogori Magongo Lawmaker Lauds Gov. Ododo Over Approval Of Funds For Revival Of Radio Kogi, Ochaja

The Lawmaker representing Ogori/Magongo State Constituency, Hon. Bode Ogunmola has praised Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for releasing funds for the restoration of broadcast service to the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Ochaja Booster Station.

Hoodlums had stormed the Ochaja station few months ago, vandalizing major broadcast equipment which led to the shut down of the radio station.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the house plenary, Hon. Ogunmola appreciated Governor Ododo for matching his words with action by directing the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo on the need for total overhauling of State owned media outfits to restore broadcast services to the region.

The lawmaker who is the Chairman House Committee on Information, explained that the revival of Radio Kogi Ochaja is expected to have a positive impact on the community, providing access to information, entertainment, and education.

Hon. Ogunmola stated that Governor Ododo’s commitment to this development is evident through various projects and initiatives implemented by his administration, including road infrastructure development and empowerment programmes.

While thanking Governor Ododo for his interest in the broadcast sector, the lawmaker commended the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo for his relentless effort at ensuring the revival of the broadcast station.

Hon. Ogunmola appealed to the Governor to equally extend same gesture to the State Printing Press and The Graphic Newspaper for optimum productivity.
