All is now set for the 2025 Ogaminana community prayers aimed at fostering peace, security and prosperity of the community.
A statement issued by Pharmacist Ateiza Isah on behalf of the planning committee for the prayers, said the prayers was being organised in recognition of the divine roles of God in the affairs of Ogaminana Community, stressing that the community had consistently turned to prayers as source of strength, hope, and guidance.
He explained that the prayers would be a tripartite one recognising the three faiths of islam, Christianity and traditional worshippers holding their sessions at different times, dates and venues.
According to the statement, the dates of the prayer sessions are Friday, April 4th, 2025, the
Traditional prayer at 4.00 pm at Asema Uka Palace, Inorere, Ogaminana, Saturday April 5th, 2025 Islamic prayer by 10 am at Adavi LGA Secretariat Ogaminana. While, Christian prayers is slated to hold on Sunday April 6th, 2025 by
10 am at the Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) Church, Nagazi Uvete.
The statement maintained that the organising committee is collaborating with Imams, Pastors, Traditional leaders and individuals in the area to make Ogaminana community Prayers 2025 a huge success”
“The relative peace, security and prosperity in the community has been ascribed to this abiding faith in God.
“It was thus proposed and accepted to go to the Almighty God in prayers as a panacea to the socio-economic issues in our Community.
While urging the people of the area to attend the prayers according to their faiths, the committee noted that the Ogaminana community Prayer 2025 would afford the people the opportunity to come together, united in our diversity, to pray for our Community Ogaminana specifically, Adavi and Ebira land generally”
The statement said the programme was aimed at uniting the Ogaminana Community in prayer, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity, in addition to seeking divine guidance, protection, and blessings for the community as well as to promote a culture of prayer, faith, and resilience in the face of challenges.
