The Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal has called on Security Agents and Kogi State Vigilante Service in Ofu Local Government Area to put in more efforts to secure lives and property in the area.
The Chairman who made the call in his Office at Ugwolawo while receiving the Zonal Security Adviser to the Governor, Idah Federal Constituency, Hon James Omachonu Onoja said that his administration will continue to be committed to the security of lives and property in Ofu Local Government Area.
Hon Lawal promised his total support to the security operatives in the Local Government, saying that his administration will give necessary support for the proper operations by the agents in order to ensure the security of the land.
Earlier the Zonal Security Adviser to the Governor, Idah Federal Constituency, Hon James Omachonu Onoja charged the constabulary police, hunters groups and the State Vigilantes that are on Government pay roll to be dedicated to their duties, warning that whoever is absent from duty will be replaced immediately.
Hon Onoja caution the security operatives to work tirelessly to curb the activities of kidnappers in the area.
He advised the operatives to do their best to identify the flash points of criminal activities within the Local Government.
The Zonal Security Adviser also enjoined them to desist from informant role within the operatives saying that whosoever is caught will face the wrath of the law.
In a remark, the Secretary Ofu Local Government Area,Hon Idoga S thanked the Zonal Security Adviser for taking out time from his tight schedules to visit Ofu Local Government Area ,saying that his Chairman, Hon Lawal who is a lover of the security of his people will cooperate with Hon Onoja’s directives to make sure Ofu is secured.
