Ofu LG Boss Promises To Support Vulnerable In The Area

The Care taker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon.Hassan Sani Atawodi has said his administration is set in assisting the vulnerable  and the physically challenged persons in the Local Government Area.

Hon Hassan who stated this in his Office at Ugwolawo during the inauguration of various committees in the Local Government, called on the Management and Staff of the Local Government and the entire people of the area to join hands with him in his quest to bringing some relief to the Local Government in line with the new administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s vision and mission for the State.

The Chairman charged the members of the various committees to be committed and diligent in discharging their duties and called on them to realise the fact that their names were carefully selected based on their integrity and knowledge in those fields to enhance the operation of the committees.

He advised them to shun financial mismanagement and misconduct in carrying out their duties.

Hon Atawodi expressed worries on the situation of the security challenges in the land, noting that his administration will not fold his arms to watch this dreaded menace to continue threatening the peace of the land, assuring that this administration has put up a security surveillance committee to proffer ways and means in overcoming the treat.

The Chairman also praised Governor  Ahmed Usman Ododo for the trust reposed on him for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Ofu Local Government, saying that his administration will not do anything to jeopardise the trust bestowed on him.

In his acceptance speech, the Secretary of Local Government who also doubles as the Chairman, Education Committee, Hon Labaran Ahmed thanked the Chairman for finding them worthy of the noble assignment, and assured the Chairman that they will not disappoint him.

In a remark, the Chairman, Ofu Secretary/Surveillance Committee who is also the Senior Special Adviser to the Chairman on Security Matters, Hon James Odekina promised that they will not fail the Chairman at their various committee level and called on all the committee members to put in their best in a away that the Chairman will be proud of them.
