Kogi Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the appointment of HRH Anthony Ehizojie Abumere II, the Onojie of Ekpoma Kingdom, Edo State as the Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
In a statement through the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the appointment is with immediate effect.
The Governor congratulated him on the appointment, urging him to bring his wealth of experience to add value to the University.
The Onojie of Ekpoma, a legal Luminary was born on the 16th of June, 1969.
He attended Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Law.
He ascended the throne as Onojie of Ekpoma on the 26th of September, 2007.
Currently, he serves as the Vice Chairman, Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, member of speaking committee South/South Monarch of Forum, Patron of Youth Sport Federation of Nigeria and Royal Patron, Red Cross, Edo State.
Similarly, the Governor has renewed the appointment of Hajia Maryam Abedo as the Director General of Kogi State Pension Commission.
The reappointment followed the expiration of her Tenure on the 10th of August 2025.
