NOA Holds Town Hall Meeting In Lokoja Calls For Attitudinal Change

The people of Kogi State  have been called upon to embrace the National value chatter for the development of the society.

The Director General National Orientation Agency, (NOA) Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu made the call at a town hall meeting with stakeholders on policies programmes and activities of government in lokoja.

Malam Onilu said the need to embrace the value chatter can not be over emphasised noting that if nurtured with sincerity will promote a better society.

He called for the collaboration of all stakeholders in promoting the value change chatter in order to have attitudinal change in places of work,communities and places of worship.

On immoral behaviour, cartoons and other social media ills in the society,the Director General explained that government policy will soon be introduce on movie content and citizenship will be reintroduced to school curriculum from primary to high institution in the country.

The Director General said the National orientation Agency will collate data of all stakeholders as partners in progress for a better Nigeria and Commended those that attended the meeting.

The Representative of Religious body, Ambassador Usman Bello and the representative of Council of Ulama’u, Malam Mansur Imam called on government to involve the religious body in all policy formulations in the country especially in education sector by making religious studies compulsory and reviving teachers college to bring back the lost glory of education.

The kogi state Chairman of Inter party advisery council (IPAC ) Ibrahim Itodo called on President Ahmed Tinubu to reduce fuel prize in order to reduce the hardship faced by citizens in the country and commended the president for appointing other political parties into his cabinet.

The State chairperson of National Council for Women Society NCWS Mrs Petra Balagbogbo and the Kogi State Amira of FOMWAN, Hajia Fadilat Abdulrazak called for the implementation of all government policies and programmes and challenge NOA to involve women in it’s programmes.

The Director General kogi State Broadcasting Corporation ,Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe advised that proper arrangements should be made to Cushion the hardship faced by the masses and the need to restore accountability forum in all sector.

Earlier the Acting state Director of the Directorate,Mr Patrick Edogbanya said the aim of the meeting was to interact with critical stakeholders in the state on policies and programmes of government to help find a lasting solution to surmountable challenges confronting the Nation.

He commend the laudable initiatives and Innovations of the Director General which is yielding positive results across the country and urged him to sustain the tempo.

The former Directors of Kogi State Directorate,Chief Ibekunle Medubi and Ambassador Muhammed Abdullahi,youths, Civil Society Organisations were part of the town hall meeting.
