Staff of the Reference Hospital Okene have been enjoined to see the year 2024 as another opportunity to contribute positively to the development of the health sector and Kogi State.
Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof Solomon Avidime made the remark in his New Year message of felicitation to the management and staff of the health institution.
Prof. Avidime stated that the hard work and dedication of the staff in 2023 attracted accolades for the hospital from various quarters and urged them to do more for the overall benefit of the people and the progress of the state.
According to him, the present administration under Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has invested much in the health sector with the aim of providing qualitative healthcare for the people, hence the need to reciprocate the gesture through hard work.
While urging the staff to put in more effort in their duties in the New Year, the CMD expressed hope and optimism that the year 2024 holds brighter prospects for them, especially as a new administration led by the Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will take over the reins of leadership in the state.
“Let’s continue to work together to make a difference in the New Year. Remember, there’s reward for hard work.
We are hopeful that previous challenges will be surmounted in 2024 to chart a new course for selfless services”.
Prof Avidime further expressed appreciation to the staff for making 2023 a fulfilling year, enjoining them to sustain the spirit for better results.
He wished the management and staff a prosperous New Year with renewed vigor to give their best in the service of their fatherland.
