The newly appointed Care taker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal has said his administration will make sure the dividends of democracy will reach all the indigenes of Ofu Local Government Area irrespective of their party affiliations.

Hon Muhammed Lawal who said this in the Local Government Secretariat, Ugwolawo while taking over the affairs of the Local Government Authority, commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the confidence reposed on him for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Ofu Local Government Area, saying that his administration will not do anything to jeopardise the trust bestowed on him.

Hon Lawal called on the political leaders at all levels to consider the plight of the people in a time like this, saying that his administration will join hands with other notable leaders in the Local Government to bring meaningful development to the People of Ofu Local Government.

Earlier, the Director Local Government Administration (DLG), Deceonnss Rachael Ukwo John thanked the people of Ofu Local Government Area for their obedience and loyalty to the authority, saying that the people of Ofu Local Government are always ready to putting in their best for the success of this administration and the entire State.

In a remarks, the APC Zonal Chairman who doubles as the Director General on Illegal Fire Arms Recovery and other Criminal Matters, Hon Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, called on the youths in Ofu Local Government Area to desist from any criminal activity that can land them in trouble.

Hon Nasiru Alfa warned the people of the Local Government to desist from gossiping and backbiting, saying that the habit will not take them anywhere.

The Ejeh Ofu and Chairman Ofu Traditional Council, HRH Alhaji Dr Akwu Obaje, who was ably represented by the Onu Itobe, HRH, Alhaji Salihu Adaji Ocholi  charged the politicians to develop a large heart in order to accommodate their followers irrespective of their faults, noting that the political leaders should make the development of the people as their utmost priority.

In a remark, the Secretary to Ofu Local Government Council (SLG), Hon Ahmed Labaran on behalf of other appointees declared  total support to the newly appointed Care taker Chairman of the Local Government, saying that anywhere there is a God fearing leader, the people will rejoice.
