‎National Commandant Of Peace Corps Of Nigeria Meets SGF, Pledges Total Support To President Tinubu

‎The Peace Corps of Nigeria has reaffirmed its total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in its efforts to strengthen national security and advance national development.

‎National Commandant of the Corps, Dr. Dickson Akoh made  the commitment when he led a delegation on a visit to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume in Abuja.



‎Dr. Akoh commended the President’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerians and assured that the Corps will operate within the framework of a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding, noting that the PCN will mobilize its structures across the Country to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda.

‎”We are glad to be here today, let me first of all appreciate Mr President for his courage and political will at improving national growth and development, and I can see that this is evident in the various sectors, including the security architecture. We are assuring the government that the Peace Corps of Nigeria will assist and complement the works of the conventional security thereby strengthening the national security “, he stated.

‎In his response, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume praised the Corps for aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and promised to deliver their message of solidarity to the President.

‎Highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of the MoU document signed by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu on behalf of the Federal Government and the  National Commandant, Dr. Dickson Akoh.

‎The agreement, the first in PCN’s 30-year history, formally recognizes its nationwide operations and provides for collaboration with the Federal Government in youth empowerment, humanitarian services, and protection of schools from external threats.
