The Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Ademola Bello Destiny, has urged the people of the area to continue to support and cooperate with the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Mr Ademola stated this during his one year anniversary as the Chairman of the Local Government.
He appreciated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Mopamuro Local Government, and promised not to let them down.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Inter Party Affairs, Tope Ajayi Santos praised the Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government, Ademola Bello Destiny for achievement recorded in the last one year in office.
He commended the Chairman for grading rural roads in the area, refurbishing of the earth moving machine, scholarships to indigent students, palliatives to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy, staff welfare, rehabilitation and painting of the council fence to mention but a few.
The Senior Special Assistant noted that the Local Government has never had it good till the coming on board of Ademola Bello.
In a message to the occasion, the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman, Mopamuro Local Government Area Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Oba Muyiwa Ibeun commended the Chairman for his laudable achievement in the last one year.
Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, who was represented by the Oba of Odole, Barrister Bayo Aje James prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the chairman and called for more synergy between the local government and the traditional institution.
He praised the Chairman for putting up formidable security architecture in the area, noting that the people of the area can sleep with their two eyes closed.
The Director of Local Government Administration in the area, Mrs. Elizabeth Job who was ably represented by the Director of Personnel Management thanked the Chairman for the smooth working relationship that exists between them.
He praised the Chairman for his achievement in the health, Agriculture, Education, infrastructures, Security and most importantly civil service reforms.
Highlight of the event was the empowerment programme for women in Mopamuro Local Government Area.
