Mopamuro LGA was agog and boisterous when the caretaker chairman Hon Ademola Bello Destiny flagged off the age long Amuro central market on Thursday.
The Amuro central market that has been abandoned for almost two decades was renovated and finally commissioned by the council boss Hon Ademola Bello Destiny.
The chairman commended the Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving him the golden opportunity to serve his people with all honesty and probity.
The huge crowd that witnessed the opening ceremony of the newly renovated Amuro Central Market praised the caretaker chairman for his untiring efforts and magnanimity in ensuring that the market is ready for buying and selling of goods and services.
In his remark, the Alamuro of Amuro land and acting chairman of Mopamuro traditional council HRH OBA Alfred Modupe Ayedogbon commended the caretaker chairman Hon Ademola Bello Destiny for the giant strides recorded within his Short time in office.
The traditional ruler described the chairman as a God fearing man and a leader who has the interest of his people at heart.
He said the chairman has justified the confidence reposed on him by the governor and the good people of mopamuro LGA.
Various speakers at the ceremony thanked the council boss for delivering the dividend of democracy to his people at the grassroots level.
They commended him for his proactiveness in terms of security, infrastructure, health, Education and workers welfare.
