The caretaker chairman of Mopamuro LGA Hon Ademola Bello Destiny has inaugurated and issued appointment letters to Mopamuro Hunters based on the directive of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to fish out criminals in the state.
Hon Ademola Bello Destiny appreciated the governor for giving security a top priority in his administration.
He specifically commended Governor Ododo for the prompt action and release of the abducted students of the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara.
The council boss charged the newly recruited hunters to be up and doing to ensure that Mopamuro LGA is crime free.
He intimated the hunters that their appointment is based on merit and they must ensure that they justify the confidence reposed on them by the people of Mopamuro LGA.
He said they were carefully selected and screened in their respective wards based on their antecedent, honesty and hardwork.
The caretaker chairman however warned that anyone found not living up to expectation will be dealt with decisively and shown the way out.
He appeal to them to work with other sister security agencies in the area.
In their separate remark, the leaders of the group chief Alaiyemola and chief Dada Awora thanked the Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the caretaker chairman Hon Ademola Bello Destiny for the golden opportunity to serve and work in the grassroots in defending and protecting the territorial integrity of Mopamuro.
They assured the chairman that they know the terrain of Mopamuro LGA very well and they will work assiduously in ensuring that people of the area sleep with their two eyes closed.
Highlights of the meeting was the distribution of their appointment letters and presentation of two security vehicles to the hunters.
