The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe says the dedication and commitment of the management and staff of Prince Abubakar University Anyigba is impressive.
Hon Monday A Anyebe stated this during his visit to the Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche at Anyigba.
Hon Monday said educational standard of the university through the efforts of the Vice Chancellor professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche and her team deserved commendation.
The Commissioner said his aim of visiting the institution was to engage the youths through entrepreneurship Programme in collaboration with the university to take them off the street to be come self reliance.
He said the decision was taken after much deliberation with his management staff to come up with Programme that will empower youth in the state.
Hon Monday A Anyebe also intimated the Vice Chancellor professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche that he want to seek the school collaboration to make Kogi United Football to Play on their Pitch pending when the Confluence stadium Lokoja commence full operation.
The Commissioner restated the commitment of the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo towards ensuring conducive atmosphere to the people of the state especially the youth and indigenous Students in the state.
Speaking, at the a brief meeting with the Students Union Government of the Prince Abubakar University Anyigba the Commissioner charged them to take their study seriously.
Hon Monday A Anyebe advised them to see their education as paramount than union activities.
The Commissioner said the present Government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has passion for Youth and Student in the state especially the approval of their bursary allowance and subvention arrears to the NYCN Council in the state.
Hon Monday A Anyebe told the student not to involve themselves in any anti social activities that can destroy their future and called on them to continue to support the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led Government.
Speaking, the Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche described the visit of the Commissioner to the institution as timely, saying his visit shows the love he has for the Youth and student in the state.
Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche assured the Commissioner of the school’s readiness to partner with his Ministry for any good ideas that will engage Youths for a better life.
Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche described the support of the present Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to the university as commendable.
Speaking, on behalf of the student, the President of Student’s Union Government of the Prince Abubakar University Anyigba, Comrade Agbo Emmanuel Shaibu described the visit of the Commissioner as a welcome development.
Comrade Agbo Emmanuel Shaibu said the visit will spur them to be serious in their studies and thanked the state Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving student bursary allowance across the country.
The President assured the Commissioner of their continue support and loyalty to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration for continued peace, unity and stability in the Prince Abubakar University Anyigba at all times.
