The management and staff of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) on Monday held a reception  to celebrate the election of the State Chairman of KOSIEC, Mr. Mamman Nda Eri as the National Chairman of the Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON).

The event, which took place at the headquarters of the commission in Lokoja drew management and staff of the Commission, marked by commendations for Mr Mamman Nda Eri, who was recently elected to the prestigious national role.

The Staff described his appointment as well-deserved, citing his dedication to duty, exemplary leadership, and outstanding service to the Commission.

In his remarks, Mr. Maman Nda Eri expressed  deep gratitude for the gesture by the management and staff.

He explained that the position of FOSIECON Chairman was zoned to the North Central region, and he was nominated and elected by the collective confidence of SIEC Chairmen across the country.

He thanked them for the trust reposed in him.

The Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Lawrence Fatimehin, praised Mr. Eri’s resilience and integrity, attributing his elevation to those exceptional qualities.

He praised Eri’s generosity and urged him to remain consistent in his good deeds.

The Director of Administration, Mrs. Jummai Yusuf, described the appointment as a significant milestone not only for Mr. Eri but also for KOSIEC and the entire Kogi State.

Similarly, the Commission’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Modupe Adegboro, highlighted Mr. Eri’s positive relationship with staff and his inclusive leadership style, which she said had fostered loyalty and a spirit of unity within the Commission.

She also prayed for greater success in his new role as FOSIECON leader.
