The SA appreciated the youths for their zealous concern on the implementation of the road project and assured them that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is working hard to ensure that the road project is completed.
Mr Obasi, who advised them to be patient, said Governor Ododo had visited the Federal Ministry of Works to urge the Minister to compel the Contractor to return to site.
Earlier, the president of the Bassa-Nge Community Development Network, Emmanuel Joseph Yaba said the essence of the visit was to know why the Lokoja-Shintaku-Dekina Federal Road passing through their community is witnessing protracted delay in its execution.
youth leader noted that the road has not witnessed any meaningful progress since the award of the Contract in twenty twenty-two.
He appreciated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the great work he is doing in Kogi State and for appointing a seasoned technocrat as his Special Adviser on Federal Project Implementation in the State.
Mr Emmanuel Joseph Yaba pleaded with the State Government not to relent in pushing relevant Federal Government officials to ensure that the Lokoja-Shintaku-Dekina Federal Road project is fully completed, noting that the people of the area have suffered untold hardship as a result of the poor state of the road.
