The Lokoja branch of Abocho Development Association, ADA, has elected new officials to run its affairs for the nest three years.
The officials were elected at a general meeting of the Association held in Lokoja.
Inaugurating the executive , Chairman of the electoral committee, Doctor Samuel Atuluku urged the new officials to see their emergence as an ample opportunity to contribute to the development of the community.
Doctor Atuluku explained that the previous challenges should not deter members from moving on, saying they should rather see such challenges as a way to change the narrative for the good of all.
He Congratulated them on their victory, adding that they should carry stakeholders along in the activities of the Association and wished them success in the discharge of their assignment.
In his response, the new Chairman of the Association, Mallam Mutari Shaibu said his leadership would run an inclusive government devoid of sentiments.
Mallam Mutari called on members to put the past behind and initiate ideas that will propel the growth of the body and commended the electoral committee for doing a good job.
Others elected are Justina Benjamin Vice Chairperson, Amos Ogohi Ameh Secretary, Emmanuel Ayeh Assistant Secretary, Victoria Atuluku Treasurer, Queen Arome Financial Secretary, Esther Ichaba Public Relations Officer, Elele.Amodu Provost, while Sumaila Sani is to serve as Auditor.
