LG Polls Holds In Kogi On October 19, KOSIEC Chairman Mamman Nda Eri Insists

The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission
says the Local Government Election scheduled for 19th October 2024 will proceed as planned.

In a Publication of notice of Polls by the Chairman Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, Mamman Nda Eri explained that the announcement is in fulfillment of seven days of notice which must be given by the commission for the election.

He said the election will be held across the 21 Local Government Areas, comprising two hundred and thirty nine Wards and three thousand, five hundred and eight polling Units.

The Chairman of the commission noted that the polling stations will be open from eight o’clock in the morning and are expected to close at three o’clock in the afternoon barring any unforeseen circumstances.

“We urge all eligible voters to come out and exercise their civic responsibility in a peaceful and orderly manner” the statement added.
