Kogi Works Commissioner Meets Stakeholders to Enhance Infrastructure Development

In a bid to enhance infrastructure development in Kogi State, the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf,  met with Stakeholders in Lokoja to discuss modalities for effective project execution.

The Commissioner met with the House Committee on Works, contractors, and the Managing Director of Kogi Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Engr. Yunusa Alhassan, to foster synergy and smooth working relationships.

The meeting, which was aimed at facilitating swift execution of ongoing road projects in the state also served as a familiarisation visit to the Commissioner of Works by the House Committee on Works on his new appointment as the Commissioner for Works .

Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Works,Seyi Bello who represented  Chairman of the House Committee, Umar Yahaya representing Omala State Constituency, congratulated the commissioner on his appointment and emphasized the need for collaboration in order to bring more dividends of Democracy to the people of Kogi State.

Engineer Mohammed Yusuf in his remarks, appreciated the committee members’ tenacity and dedication to the state’s betterment, assuring them of his readiness for harmonious collaboration.

He praised the committee’s efforts, saying, “We are aware of your wondrous exploits, and we can only pray that Almighty Allah blesses and protects you all.”

He also acknowledged the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development, saying, “Under my watch, the Ministry of Works will never relent in efforts to complement the good works of our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.”
