Kogi Women Concerned Group for Good Governance Urges President Tinubu To Intervene In The Rift Between EFCC And Former Gov Yahaya Bello

Kogi Women Concerned Group for Good Governance has called on the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) to apologize to former Governor Yahaya Bello for declaring him wanted after honouring their invitation.

The group made the call while addressing newsmen at a world press conference in Lokoja on Saturday

Mrs Grace Tokula who spoke for the group also called for immediate resignation of the EFCC chairman,Olukayoyede Olanipeku for gross incompetence and negligence of duty .

Mrs Grace Tokula noted that as mothers they can longer fold their hands and allow the EFCC to continue to persecute the former governor whom they said has performed very well during his tenure in office.

“As mothers,we can no longer fold our hands and allow the anti graft agency to continue their persecution against a man who has performed well when he governed kogi state”

Also speaking, Mrs Oladumi Aisha from kogi West stated that the appearance of former Governor Yahaya Bello at the EFCC office was a sign that he has no skeletons in his cupboard describing the consistent media trial of the man who remodeled Kogi State as worrisome.

The group condemned the EFCC chairman Olukayoyede olanipeku for perpetuating injustice against former governor Yahaya Bello.

The women group also appealed to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to wade into the activities of the EFCC chairman Olukayoyede Olanipeku against the former governor with a view to finding a lasting solution.

They also threatened to protest naked if nothing was done to forestall future occurrence.

The kogi Women Concerned Group on Good Governance also appreciated the present administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining the good work of his predecessor and urged him to sustain the tempo.

There were placards with inscription “leave Yahaya Bello alone, no money is missing from kogi state among others on display during the News Conference.
