Kogi State Government to Flag-Off 19.55km Obajana-Uro-Aku Rural Road Project On Tuesday

In a major move to enhance rural infrastructure, the Kogi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (Kogi-RAAMP), in collaboration with the State Ministry of Rural and Energy Development, is set to officially flag off the construction of the 19.55km Obajana-Uro-Aku rural farm road on Tuesday.

The initiative is part of RAAMP’s ongoing efforts to improve rural access and support agricultural development in the state.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is expected to flag off the project on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, at Obajana, starting at ten o’clock in the morning.

A statement by the State Project Coordinator, Engineer Sheidu Obansa Adamu urged the general public to attend the event, noting that the project is a key step towards enhancing agricultural productivity and improving the livelihoods of rural dwellers.

He said Governor Ododo remains committed to improving infrastructure and promoting rural development across the state.

Engineer Sheidu noted that the road project serves as a testament to the Governor’s dedication to the welfare of Kogi farming communities and commended him for the support of his administration to RAAMP in the state.
