As Kogi State Pension Commission has fixed first to fifteen of next month for the commencement of Pensioners Verification exercise in the state,the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP),Engineer Clement Ohida, has called on retirees to embrace and actively participate in the exercise as it is for their benefit.
Speaking in an interview in Lokoja, Engineer Clement Ohida, explained that the verification exercise to be carried out by the state government is design in a seamless way considering the age and health condition of Pensioners.
According to him, retirees are expected to visit any bank closer to them with their bank verification number (BVN) saying it is not compulsory for pensioners to visit bank or travel from their locations.
Engineer Clement advised pensioners that no money should be paid to anybody during the exercise saying that it is only meant for bio-metric data capturing.
He said the commission will provide an email portal to enable Pensioners who have travelled out of the country to send in their traveling documents data page,visa page stamped, arrival, phone numbers, location and address to the commission.
