Kogi Law Officers Commend State Government

The Law Officers Association of Nigeria, (LOAN) , Kogi State Chapter has commended the State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for its unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants and the overall progress and development of the state.

In a letter jointly signed by the Chairman, S. A. Yusuf, Esq., and the Secretary, Suleiman Yakubu, Esq., and addressed to the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the Association reaffirmed its loyalty to the present administration and expressed appreciation for its consistent attention to the welfare and working conditions of public servants, including law officers.

“We reaffirm our dedication to the success of your administration’s programmes and policies for the overall progress and development of our dear State. We look forward to the opportunity to meet with Your Excellency and further appreciate you,” the letter stated.

The Association also used the opportunity to withdraw an earlier notice that had been issued in error and tendered an unreserved apology to the State Government and all concerned for any misunderstanding the earlier communication might have caused.

LOAN explained that the previous notice resulted from a communication gap, and that the leadership of the Association had since reviewed the matter and taken corrective action. The body reaffirmed its total confidence in the Ododo administration and its unwavering commitment to supporting the government’s vision of progress, transparency, and justice.

“We regret any inconvenience caused by the earlier notice and wish to assure the Government of our utmost respect, cooperation, and professionalism in all future engagements,” the letter added.

The Association described Governor Ododo’s administration as responsive, people-focused, and result-oriented, pledging continued collaboration with relevant institutions to strengthen justice delivery and promote good governance in Kogi State.

Copies of the letter were forwarded to top government functionaries including the Honourable Chief Judge of Kogi State, the Secretary to the State Government, the Head of Civil Service, and the Commissioners for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, among others.

LOAN further assured the Government of its readiness to continue providing professional and ethical legal services in line with the administration’s commitment to justice, accountability, and service to the people.
