Kogi JNI Stresses Need For Sustained Prayers as Election Draws Closer

Muslims in Kogi State have been called upon to be committed and sustain prayers for the peace and success of November eleven twenty twenty-three governorship election in the state.

Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Ambassador Usman Bello, made the call at a special prayer for the election in November.

Ambassador Bello said the organization has made it a point of duty to pray for a hitch Free poll on November Eleven.

He noted that power belongs to Allah and will be given to whomever He pleases, urging the people of Kogi state to continue to maintain peace and order to ensure hitcfree election.

The Chairman urged the people to intensify prayers for the forthcoming election and for Governor Yahaya Bello as he prepares to leave office after eight years of impactful leadership in the state.

In a remark, the Imam of JNI Masjid, Sheikh Usman Tauheed emphasised the need for Imams and Scholars to pray fervently for the success of the Gubernatorial election in the state.

Sheikh Tauheed explained that all aspirants are brothers who must live in peace irrespective of the winner hence the need for the prayers before, during and after the election.

State Secretary of JNI, Alhaji Isa Adeboye appreciated the Imams and scholars from the three senatorial district for honouring JNI’s invitation for the prayers and urged them to sustain the support.

Alhaji Isah also called for the sustenance of prayers and preaching of peaceful election at their various Mosques before, during and after the election.
