Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf has assured the APC flagbearer in next month’s gubernatorial election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of overwhelming victory.
Yusuf stated this in an interview with journalists during the party’s Campaign Rally in Okene, Kogi Central.
He noted that there was a divine involvement in the Ododo project, hence the massive support shown to the party by Kogi citizens as the election draws near.
The Speaker gave credence to the good governance and efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello to ensure the development of the entire state as the reason for the good fortune of the party, stressing that the humility, foresight and experience of the candidate also contributed in no small measure.
He assured of the commitment of Alhaji Usman Ododo to sustain the legacies of improved infrastructure, strong security architecture, quality education, and provision of healthcare facilities, including rural development.
The Lawmaker called on party stakeholders and support groups not to rest on their oars, but continue with door-to-door campaigns to ensure massive votes for the APC during the election.
The Speaker was in company of his counterpart at the National Assembly for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Danladi Suleiman Aguye, the member representing Lokoja One State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani, former member of the National Assembly for the area, Haruna Isah, and the member representing Kogi State Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Idrees Aliyu among others
